I went out camping with the Texas Outdoor Family program and assisted a ranger with the activities that the families did during the camping event such as fishing, kayaking, and geocaching.
I helped to organize and box pastries and bread products. This boxed products will then go off to feed thousands of people throughout Central Texas. Even though at the end I was very exhausted it was still a fun experience!
I aided at their Hope for Hands event in which more than 1,000 thanksgiving meals were given.
I educated people on how to compose their trash
I helped distribute groceries in East Side Austin to those who needed it. I also enjoyed saying hi to the people that received the groceries and working alongside the other volunteers. They were all really nice.
